​MISSION
The mission of the JJG STEaM Foundation, Inc. a non-profit 501c3 organization is to create and foster a learning environment that inspires students to pursue future careers in the areas of science, technology, engineering, arts or math. In addition, the foundation provides support to graduating seniors that plan to major in those fields.

DR. JOY JACKSON-GUILFORD, Founder


Dr. Joy Jackson-Guilford is a 1990 graduate of Morris Brown College with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Biology. At Florida A& M University, Dr. Jackson-Guilford completed her master’s degree in Pharmaceutical Sciences (1995) and her Doctor of Philosophy Degree in Pharmacology/Toxicology (1998).
Joy has worked in the pharmaceutical industry for 24 years at Eli Lilly and Company; Ortho Biotech Products, L.P.; Abbott Laboratories and currently at AbbVie in various roles in Pharmaceutical Project Management and Medical/Clinical Affairs. Joy is currently the Director of Strategic Pipeline Partnerships for the Equity, Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion team in corporate human resources at AbbVie.
A servant leader, she is a member of several organizations, where she has held various leadership roles. More recently, due to her love for science, she developed a non-profit 501c3 organization, JJG STEAM Foundation, Inc. whose mission is to create and foster a learning environment that inspires students to pursue future careers in the areas of science, technology, engineering, arts, or math. In addition, the foundation provides support to graduating seniors that plan to major in those fields. Her mantra comes from three of her favorite scriptures: Proverbs 3:6, “In all thy ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct thy path”; Jeremiah 29:11 - NIV, “For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future” and Psalm 46:10a “He says, “Be still, and know that I am God.”
